The rule of thumb is that a carry on bag should be at most 22 inches tall, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches deep. The weight should be no more than 40 pounds. However, every airline has their own carry-on size regulations. For your convenience, we've compiled a list of some popular airlines. Checked Luggage
A standard maximum weight limit for a checked bag is 50 pounds. There may also be a size restriction. A typical maximum size bag is 62 linear inches. A common size bag for checking through is: 27 inches wide, 21 inches tall, and 14 inches deep.
Airlines will allow overweight, oversize and extra baggage for additional fees.
